Summary

Commentary
- The dialogue of the game is in Old English, and there are subtitles to translate what the characters are saying. This is so the game still retains its origins from the book.
- The reason that the gameplay is based off of first-person shooter games is so the game allows the player to see the world from Beowulf's perspective.
- When other characters interact with Beowulf, the player has the option to pick from multiple responses. The responses that the player chooses may or not affect the storyline.
- When starting a new file, the player can choose to play Adventure Mode at an easy, intermediate, or hard difficulty. The difficulty affects the monsters and missions the player must complete. If the player completes all 3 difficulties, the brutal difficulty will be unlocked. This makes it appeal to all types of gamers, whether the player is a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer.
- During gameplay, the player only has one life, but the player can heal Beowulf throughout the game.
- Beowulf's face is faceless so that the player can customize his face the way they want it.
